Dimapur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) has lauded Dimapur police special branch led by DSP Israel Xuivi for arresting four out of five accused involved in recent abduction and subsequent murder of two minor students.

Further, appreciating the cooperation extended by Assam police, DCCI expressed its hope that such kind of coordination would continue in future.

Following the arrest of three accused involved in the abduction and killing of two minor boys by Dimapur special branch sleuths, Assam police August 6 arrested the fourth person, reportedly one of the key accused from Diphu.

However, the fifth accused remained at large. The minors, both school students, were abducted from Dimapur July 28 and killed August 3 at a place between Diphu and Lumding in Assam.

Calling upon all responsible citizens, organizations and educational institutes to condemn such dastard and cowardly acts, DCCI said “while no amount of words can bring the innocent victims back to life, it remains our steadfast prayer” that absconding accused would soon be arrested.

DCCI also extended heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved families and prayed that God Almighty would grant them strength and solace during this hour of grief.
