Zhosapa Veswu, the brother of one “Akhobu Veswu” who allegedly assaulted a young woman on August 2 at Kitsubozou, Kohima, Tuesday apologized to Pochury unions and organizations for trying to cover up his brother’s faults.

In a statement, Zhosapa Veswu said he was responsible for hurting the sentiments of Pochury organizations by stating that the act of these organizations was “unscrupulous”.

He also clarified that the money which the woman (finance secretary of ANPSTA) handed over to Akhobu, belonged to ANPSTA and not to Akhobu as claimed by him.

Stating that he fully realized the wrong statement made against Pochury organizations and have offended the sentiment of the Pochury tribe, Zhosapa said he apologized for the same and said such “defamation” would not be repeated in future.
