After meeting with prime minister Dr Manmohan Singh and union home minister Sushil Kumar Shinde to impress upon the government of India for an early solution over the Naga political issue, all 60 legislators of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly would be fanning out across the state be the end of the current year to seek support from the people for the expected agreement.

In lieu of expectations that an agreement would be reached within this year’s end, the legislators would in all probability, meet with public from November 2012 to March 2013.This however remains speculative, the sources said.

According to reliable sources, the legislators from both the ruling and opposition, under the Joint Legislators Forum (JLF) have made it clear to the government of India that any agreement has to be “honourable and acceptable to all sections of Nagas”. They also urged upon the prime minister for a solution at the earliest.

Shinde while meeting with the Nagaland legislators have requested them to meet him again but in a smaller group so as to have a detailed discussion on the form of agreement that would emerge.

The government of India has made it clear that all other groups have to be roped in for an agreement. Speculations are rife over the kind of agreement where some media have concluded that it would be in the form of a “supra state” while others opined it could be in the form of formation of a “pan Naga” parliament having a lower and upper house.
When contacted, an official source here revealed that suggestions did not mean that they were finalized.

strange that talk of supera state is on by over and underground leaders. yet the common people have no idea what is that, what it means? what is the cost? if its being under the Indian Constitution then we have not gained anything as even now we are under the GOI Constitution. The only way we will know what it would cost us will be after being sold into slavery. since when has slavery being; “honourable and acceptable to all sections of Nagas" what is the all Nagas? if i disagree then there will not be a supar state? does my voice count? have i been told what is involved? will i be told? i do not think so. As anything done is secret can not be made known to the public before at act of treason is committed. getting the public agreement first, without laying out the full details, is like committing treason. Any one agrees with this without first knowing the full facts in fulleset of details, if this is denyed on the reason that we the public are not able to undestand the details, is saying we are stupid and can not decided for ourselves only the leaders [thieves and liars} have the ability to understand. every point has to be given in advance, every point must be approved by the people or else let it like the 16 points agreement followed by more blood bath. Welcome to the supar state.
