While reaffirming its decision to reject July 10 cabinet decision to constitute special investigation teams (SITs) to probe into the claims of Nagaland Contractors’ & Suppliers’ Union (NCSU) pending bills, NCSU Tuesday announced it has resolved to stage agitation w.e.f August 10 in all the district headquarters.

The decision arrived at a meeting held August 7 with all district unit office-bearers, wherein the house unanimously resolved several other points, a statement issued by NCSU vice president Ntsenthung Tungoe and secretary Imsünok Jamir. According to Tungoe and Jamir, the 20-day deadline to the state government to revoke the Cabinet decision would expire August 9.

“The house resolved that till our demand will be fulfill by the government there shall not be any compromise at any cost,” they said. With regard to this, NCSU has requested all the district units “to prepare for any eventualities to start the agitation to fight for justice.” It also appealed to all responsible citizens to cooperate with the union.
