Dimapur District Planning and Development Board meeting approves LADP scheme

Board members of Dimapur District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) after thorough deliberation approved the Local Area Development Projects (LADP) Schemes and forwarded to the government for further consideration.
The meeting was held at DC’s conference hall, chaired by vice-chairperson and deputy commissioner dimapur, N. Hushili Sema IAS on August 7.

DC informed that Red Ribbon Express (RRE) a special train propagating HIV and AIDS awareness and control campaign train would be reaching Dimapur on August 16 where state Governor, Nikhil Kumar will formally inaugurate the programme.

District urban development officer Dimapur, Chenithung Lotha highlighted the department’s developmental activities in the district.

The board also reviewed the last meeting minutes and approved agendas discussed at the meeting.
They are proposal for development assistance submitted by Kirha village council Dimapur was discussed and further forwarded to the department in-charge for consideration; request for financial for Tribal Expressions Festival was forwarded to the department of Art & Culture for further examination.

The board also recommended for up-gradation of the following schools, GMS Shoxuvi High School, Shoxuvi Village, GMS Thilixu 3rd Mile Thilixu to High School, Harvest Mission Montessori School, Industrial Estate to CL- V111, Blue Star Singrijan to CL-V111.

The departments of horticulture and irrigation & flood control were entrusted to highlight their Department’s developmental activities in the next meeting

LONGLENG:  Monthly Longleng district planning and development board meeting was held on August 9 at DCs conference hall under the chairmanship of deputy commissioner Longleng, K. Libanthung Lotha.

The meeting adopted the following agendas-LADP schemes for 2012-13, scheme for LADP 2012-13 for both general and common pool schemes submitted by LADP members for 49 A/C Tamlu and 50 A/C Longleng was tabled where the district planning officer read out all the schemes.

Board members deliberated on reliability and feasibility of the scheme. The board members also checked the schemes to avoid overlapping duplication and after through discuss approved it.

The board also recommended for opening of sub-health center at Tamlu to the department. Grant in aid to Good Shepherd School was also forwarded to the Department with recommendation.

PHEK: Deputy Commissioner & Vice Chairman DPDB Phek, Nikhashe Sema chaired the Phek DPDB meeting on August 9.
In the meeting, DC warned errant members who are irregular in attending office, adding surprise checking/inspections would be carried out and action taken against irresponsible (absentees) officers in-spite of repeated reminders.

The board after deliberation and discussion gave approval for LADP schemes including the common pool scheme for the year 2012-13.

Other matters which were discussed included Phek-Chozuba road which has been completely washed off near Phek due to heavy rains during the past few days.

Other issues which were discussed included GHSS Phek which does not have a water reservoir and drinking water facility for students and staff of the Institution.

Zunheboto:  Monthly DPDB meeting of Zunheboto District was held on August 8 at DC’s conference hall with deputy commissioner, Anden Konyak as the chairman.

DC welcomed the new members, AEO Zunheboto, Toshimongba Longchar and Principal, GHSS, Zunheboto, Sunil Thakur.

Reviewing the last meeting minutes with regard to deteriorating condition of Art & Culture Office in Zunheboto, the board decided to forward the committee’s report to the higher authority.

During the discussion hour, district veterinary officer informed it would be  launching lives-stock census from September 18 and requested administrative officers to sensitize the people from their administrative circles on the importance of right census. 

In view of the massive landslide between Tuensang and Mokokchung road where the vehicles bound for Tuensang are made to take an alternate route through Zunheboto-Suruhuto road, the DC said it was confirmed from SDO (C) Suruhuto that the road was pliable and open. However, DC requested the EE PWD(R&B) to oversee the road condition.
