Xelhozhe Village Students’ Union organizes summer talent expo

Xelhozhe village students’ union, Dimapur (XVSU) organized for the first time “Summer Talent Expo” from July 27 to 28, entitled “Venturing with an excellence’ (Akiviu Pesu Ipeni).
The highlights of the competition included Spelling Bee, Drawing, Sketches, Prepare Speech, Solo and Poem recitation. Asish Subha, a young business entrepreneur from Sikkim was the guest speaker.
In its formal programme, Hekato Achumi, Pastor Xelhozhe Baptist Church led the invocation followed by greetings from Nikhato Shohe, Hd. G.B. Special Number was presented by Sumi Totimi Hoho Xelhozhe and Hokito Kiho, the finalist of Golden Voice Hunt Dimapur.
The speaker of the occasion addressed the congregation saying that this was the right time for everyone to awake from their comfort zone towards “Greater Heights”.
He focused on four groups of people in this world saying the first group were those who make things happen, second are people who keep watching what is happening, “People who wonder what’s happening” as the third group and finally, “People who never know what is happening”.
Based on the first group of people, he challenged the gathering as to why not make things happen together as they are in the right place.
He urged the student body to play a pivotal role in the social transformation by venturing with an “excellence”.
Ihoto Achumi, exhorted the congregation and encouraged the student leaders to continue their given potentials and talents to lead the youngsters for future endeavor and urged the parents of every youth to provide constant support.
Special prayer of blessing was offered for the students by Ghokhuvi Achumi, a senior deacon of the Church, vote of thanks by Kakugha Wotsa, former president, Naga Students’ Union Bangalore (NSUB) and advisor XVSU.
The programme was chaired by Aboka Zhimo.
XVSU officials have thanked participants, speakers and well wishes for the success of the programme. The union also congratulated Ivuto Wotsa and Shihoto Shohe (first and second Batch respectively) for successfully securing ‘D’ Certificate License Coach in “All India Football Federation” (AIFF) which was organized by Life Sports, Kohima.
