Red Ribbon bus caravan with NSACS team reached Medziphema town and organised an outreach programme on School of Agricultural Science & Rural Development (SASRD), Medziphema on August 18.

The bus caravan was designed attractively with HIV & AIDS related banners, slogans and posters. Youngs’ Club Dimapur enacted a street play on the theme ‘Basics of HIV&AIDS: Family responsible on children towards HIV&AIDS.

The main purpose of the bus caravan programme was to reach places so that students and public get first hand information through street plays, voluntary blood testing, general check up and open discussion sessions.

Welcoming the bus caravan team, James Swu EAC, Medziphema expressed gratitude for spreading awareness of HIV & AIDS in the subdivision through such outreach programme.

Mobile ICTC & MMU TEAM gave free counselling, general check up and on the spot voluntary blood testing facility to school and college students. The bus caravan did not only deliver HIV awareness through youth friendly measures, but also tried to change the perception that HIV & AIDS is not an end to life. Many students took voluntary blood testing on the spot after the formal programmes was over.
