Dimapur Naga Students’ Union (DNSU) has expressed dismay at the inability of the power department to restore regular electricity supply in Dimapur.
DNSU president K. Mhachio Lotha and general secretary Kambuiga Rongmei in a release stated the ongoing loadshedding for the past many days has made living in Dimapur difficult for all citizens.

“Dimapur, being one of the education hubs in the state has maximum concentration of students coming from across the state. It is sad to say that students are the worst sufferers. The absence of electricity during class hours in educational institutions and in homes has severely affected the students and their studies”, stated the release.

DNSU has urged the power minister to give priority in restoring electricity in Dimapur at the earliest, adding the “patience so far exercised by the union, should not be taken for granted” and warned that if the load-shedding persisted, then it would be compelled to take action for which the power department would be held responsible.
