Health mela for Meluri and its neighbouring villages was conducted at Chepoketa village respectively on August 18 and 19 by district health society, Phek.

The mela started with a short speech by Dr. L. Watikala CMO Phek. A total of 561 patients availed free health check-ups and medicines.

Altogether 15 medical officers and health workers from Phek district attended the health mela where different service packages such as ANC/PNC, immunization, malaria blood testing, sputum examination, family planning services, minor surgery, dental services and AYUSH were provided.

Counselling on family planning, immunization, maternal health and child health, distribution of IEC materials on different health issues, condoms, and film on family planning, child health, tobacco control, ASHAs, vasectomy (NSV), breastfeeding, NVDCP, JSY and maternal health were also screened.
