NVCO & KLC team affirms to fight against corruption

Anti-corruption team of NVCO & KLC discussed about its action plan to fight against corrupt practices in the state especially in government sector such as misappropriation and diversion of public funds, private sectors while dealing with traders by unfair means of practices, adulteration, expiry goods, black-marketing, etc.

At the meeting held at Kohima Law College on August 20 under the chairmanship of its leader Kezhokhoto Savi, anti-corruption team re-affirmed their stand to fight against corruption and unfair means of trade.

Some of the resolutions taken at the meeting included: all district administration to effectively implement the standing order in banning illegal collection of cash/taxes in any highways, all CEOs of municipal/town council to issue proper trade license to genuine traders including butchers and ensure accuracy in weight, DCs the district to effectively implement their own orders not to allow using of LPG domestic connections in hotels, hostels and restaurants so as to avoid shortages of LPG supply and check black-marketing.

The team also discussed on requesting the NPSC to reduce exam fees as applicants complained on the rate of application form i.e. Rs.300 while submitting forms for NPSC Prelims, 2012.

The team also resolved to support CBI probe recommended on SARDP and urged citizens to “call up” state consumer helpline through toll free no. 1800 - 345 - 3701 for necessary guidance and query of their daily consumer problems.
