Dimapur Mission Higher Secondary School (DMHSS) held its pre-teachers day programme at DABA Town Fellowship, Khermahal on September 4.

The school management and governing board presented DMHSS teachers with special gifts on the occasion. Teacher of the year award was awarded to Aleminla by the school management.

Tiny tots presented a special dance for the teachers. Other highlights of the programme included special number by students and poem recitation. A special prayer was conducted by  pastors of DABA for the teachers.

Meanwhile, New Ministers’ Hill Government Primary School observed pre-teachers day at Panchayat Hall on September 4.

School board member, Dr. Khriezotuo speaking as the chief guest lauded the management board and the teaching faculty for rendering their best contribution and imparting quality education.

While advising the students to respect and obey their teachers, he also urged the teaching faculties to re-dedicate themselves and serve to build the country by rendering their “sincere service” not just for the sake of salary.  Dr. Khriezotuo also donated financial help towards the school.

Chairman management board, Lima Imsong pronounced the invocation prayer while teacher-in-charge, Arenla delivered the vote of thanks. Benediction was proposed by assistant teacher, Ruth. The function was attended by the ward chairman, executive members, parents and other dignitaries.
