Naga united village, Intangki (NUVI) has reminded the state forest minister to fulfill his “assurance”, which was purportedly given to its representatives when they had gone to submit no objection certificate (NOC), from all Naga tribal Hoho leaders, at his private residential office July 10, 2011.

In a press release, NUVI head GB Khehoi, chairman Sazo Angami and secretary C.Pili Pochury said the minister had assured to evict all the encroachers including Beisumpuikam village.

Stating that NUVI had been evicted several times, the signatories however said non-Naga people from NC Hills, Assam and Manipur, who established Beisumpuikam village were “purely enjoying in our Mother’s land”, whereas “Naga indigenous inhabitants” were not allowed to settle in “our Naga soil.”

Maintaining that state government should not be biased, NUVI said unless the state government evicted Beisumpuikam village by October 31 next, general public of NUVI would encroach in “our Naga soil continuously and ready to settle permanently.”
