Confederation of Chessore Students’ Union (CCSU) Wednesday placed a three-point demand before the school education department (SED), and issued an ultimatum to meet its demands within 15 days.

In a representation to the principal director, SED, the confederation general secretary L.Luntsuba Yim and information secretary S.Kiukhangba demanded that headmaster, Chessore government high school be cross-transferred and “mentioned errant teachers” be transferred and replaced without laying vacant within stipulated time.

CCSU also demanded that assistant headmaster be appointed as officiating headmaster with immediate effect as his service was needed by the student community and general public.

CCSU said government high school Chessore was one of the neglected schools in Nagaland, saying the student organisation and councils inspected the school several times and discharged their duties sincerely but have failed.

It further asserted that government high school Chessore was not an educational institution rather a “killing institution”, in which dreams of thousands of in the past few decades have been shattered due to inefficient controlling authority and defective and cunning teachers.

CCSU cautioned that in the event the responsible authority failed to fulfill its demands within stipulated time, it would be compelled to initiate phase-II agitation by closing down the school and authority shall be held fully responsible for the inconveniences of the students.
