In an attempt to spruce up the state’s biggest commercial hub, DC Dimapur N. Hushili Sema Thursday allotted specified locations to government departments and issued directives to town GBs for conducting a mass social work in Dimapur on November 12 from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m.

In a press release, Hushili said that this “notification/publication” shall serve as official correspondence to all concerned and no separate circular would be issued.

DC also asked all Dimapur town GBs and chairmen of colonies/wards to mobilize citizens and clean their respective location/areas.

Hushili said SP Dimapur and DMC CEO would co-ordinate with paramilitary for transporting volunteers for picking up garbage across the town.

DC directed EAC, Chumukedima to take care of Chumukedima and all villages along the national highway stretch and EDAC for necessary action in Purana Bazar area.

SP would co-ordinate with Fire Brigade and clean the two flyovers on November 11 at night, she informed. She has also directed all available department trucks with fuel and some volunteers with shovel, spade, etc, to report to DMC office at 05:00 a.m. the same day.
