IYF World Youth Camp 2012

To cultivate Indian youth as global leaders a very special camp - 2012 World Camp, International Youth Fellowship (IYF) was held in New Delhi at Thyagaraj Sports Complex from November 4 - 7.

The camp provided ample opportunities for the youth to participate and gain once-in-a-lifetime experience.
The purpose of the camp was to develop the potential of college students in India and participants from all over the world to become leaders of the upcoming generation through fellowship and union, and also to cultivate global mindset among future leaders by guiding them to accept people who are different from them.

IYF World Camp was hosted by Delhi based IYF members to instill new hope and purpose in many hearts floundering in despair and hopelessness.

K. Walia, state minister of education was the chief guest for the opening ceremony. Vice Chancellor of Jawaharlal Nehru University Professor S. K. Sopory was the guest lecturer and urged students’ to have the spirit of consistency in pursuing their education and ever more.

Thousands were blessed with Mind lecture that was delivered by the founder of IYF Pastor Ock Soo Park. Approximately 3000 students gathered from different countries including Africa, South Asia, South America, India, Nepal, Bhutan, and Korea & Nagaland.

200 students from North East (150 Nagaland, 30 Assam, 20 Manipur) were blessed as they attended the camp with international friends. The camp was featured with various cultural performances, guest lecturers, academy, and mini- olympic, sightseeing, classical music & orchestra.

The maximum numbers of students were from Livingstone Foundation Higher secondary school, Dimapur Government College, Naga students at Delhi and many more. 

“At the end none of the students wanted to leave the camp venue as they were so much inspired and blessed”, added Kakugha Sema, coordinator IYF Nagaland.
