Sub-centre inaugurated in Changpang village

Changpang village sub-centre building was inaugurated by parliamentary secretary prison, home guard, fire and emergency services,  Er. W. Kithanon November 16 in the presence of Dr. N.M Kithan chief medical officer, Dr. W.N Ezung, deputy chief medical officer, Dr. Motsuthung ZLO, Dr. Liphamo MO, Wokha and a host of medical staff and community leaders of Lotha Lower Range.

Gracing the occasion as chief guest, Kithan said the sub-centre should aim in delivering health services to the people and urged the medical staff to be sincere in disseminating their duties for the sick and the needy people of the village.

He urged the public to give support and co-operation to the medical staff and maintain the the sub-centre building as their own property and asked the village health committee members to be active in monitoring the duties of the health workers.

He said that a healthy village was a healthy nation and applauded the National Rural Health Mission, under the department of health and family welfare for providing the best medical facilities at the doorstep of those living in rural areas.

Village health and nutrition day was conducted after the inaugural function where illagers availed free health check-ups.
IEC materials were distributed and group sessions with the womenfolk on maternal and child health topics were discussed.

Earlier, the function was chaired by village council chairman Changpang and pastor, Changpang Baptist Church invoked God’s blessings.
