‘Badhte kadam’ at AG Colony

The second-day of Badhte kadam was held in AG Colony, Kohima Thenucho Tunyi, former home minister as the chief guest, Dr. Rev. Anjo Keikung, general secretary NBCC and other colony leaders along with disabled children and their parents attended the function.

Thenucho Tunyi, encouraged the parents to be strong and accept them as they are and said God had given them challenge because parents’ have that quality and tolerance and therefore they need to accept such challenges and live a life thankfully.

Dr. Rev Anjo Keikung said NBCC started to feel the need to care for the children with special needs and are trying to make all Churches disabled friendly and have an inclusive approach in all spiritual aspects. “We must give glory to God in every situation that we may be put in because GOD can use such people in different ways,” Anjo said.

Panchayat leader Lipok Yanger GB of AG Colony promised that would do anything to help such people in future. The program was chaired by Mary Sonar, invocation by Pastor Rüduozhü Yashü of Local Church, CRC Dzuvüru. Welcome speech was delivered by Renbeni Odyuo and ‘My experience with my special child’ by Bendangla Kikon. Cherry blossoms special children gave a special number and vote of thanks by Neiketole Rhetso.
