GPRN/NSCN Friday refuted the claims made by NSCN (K) on the killing of two of the former’s functionaries in Longkhim town on December 5.

GPRN/NSCN MIP claimed that both functionaries -- ‘lieut.’ Lemthong Tsaba and ‘raza peyu’ Chumkyuse of the Sangtam region were “murdered” by NSCN (K) after being “abducted” from their private residence by one Moses Sangtam and Yangphongshe Sangtam belonging to NSCN (K).

MIP clarified that late Chumkyuse was earlier only a taxi driver but was forcefully enrolled in GPRN/NSCN by Moses. However, after defecting to NSCN (K) last month, Moses killed “his own follower”, claimed MIP adding that this showed “his clear intention”, said MIP.

GPRN/NSCN further said that few days back before Moses joined NSCN (K) fold, he gave directives to camp commander Tuensang to “assassinate” Lemthong Tsaba but since he had “no bad records either in the Naga Army” or at the government level, the directive given by Moses was overlooked.

MIP alleged that late Lemthong Tsaba was on leave to spend the festive season with his family when his life was forcefully snatched away by NSCN (K).

MIP said since ENPO had declared its jurisdiction as ‘Peace Zone’ and Longkhim town also falls under it, GPRN/NSCN respected the decision.MIP accused NSCN (K) secretary MIP of giving “false and fabricated” information as GPRN/NSCN cadres never proceeded to Longkhim town as claimed by NSCN (K).

GRPN/NSCN saluted the sacrifice made by the two who laid down their lives. in the struggle for the “Nation” and conveyed condolences to the bereaved family members.
