Expressing serious concern over the irregularities of teachers, Chakhesang Students Union (CSU) has asked the Department of School Education to strictly check the irregularities of the teachers especially in the rural areas and requested the authority to inspect the schools functioning in order to improve and promote quality education.
In a press release, CSU president Dode Nakro and general secretary Nuvokho Rakho, said during the union’s consultative meeting held on March 8, the house thoroughly discussed and debated on the poor attendance and inactive responsibilities of the headmasters and teachers posted in different government schools under its jurisdiction.
CSU said its sole aim was to promote and protect the welfare of the students in particular and appealed the headmasters, head teachers and faculties who had “abandoned responsibilities” and are away from duty to know and realize the big role assigned to them as an educator.
The union also acknowledged those headmasters and teachers who were tirelessly rendering their best service to the students and schools despite of many difficulties due to lack of proper infrastructure and facilities in the schools and villages.
