Organisations condemn various incidents

Several organisations have separately condemned the assault on Naga family by a group of around five to six non-Naga youth on the night of September 21 at Chumukedima; life attempt on proprietor of Kuda Cold Storage, L Doulo on September 18 by unidentified armed miscreants and murder and alleged rape of a mother of three on September 18, at Khekiye village under Aghunato, Zunheboto district.
CSU: Chakhroma Students’ Union (CSU) has vehemently condemned the abominable act inflicted on an Angami Naga family by non-local community. It stated that at a time when people were striving for peaceful and harmonious relations between communities (local or non-local), incidents such as this only “reinvigorates Nagas’ common war on illegal immigrants”. CSU asserted that such “antagonistic elements cannot be accepted, and have no place in our society”. CSU has asked law enforcement agencies to stringently investigate the matter, and leave no stone unturned in bringing the culprits to book.
CPO Chumukedima circle: Chumukedima Circle (CPO) has expressed deep resentment to such anti-social activity that has hampered the peaceful living of the Chakhroma area and Nagaland in general. Chumukedima circle (CPO) said it would fight tooth and nail to uproot such evil and anti-social elements. It has urged the law enforcing agencies to book the culprit and punish them according to the law of the land at the earliest time possible.
HSS: Hindu Seva Samiti (HSS) has vehemently condemned the attack on a Naga family and has requested the law enforcing authorities to take befitting action on the culprits as per law of land.
WCH: Western Chakhesang Hoho has stated that hoho would keep a check on the non locals especially the IBIs who come to Nagaland for survival, for work and earn but were now getting bold enough to even threaten and assault the natives of the state. WCH also appealed to all the Nagas to look into this burning issue with all seriousness before “our” land get into more troubled waters. The Hoho further questioned the government of Nagaland as to what role it has played in checking and deporting the IBIs as after 54 years of statehood and cautioned about the infiltration of Rohingya in the state. WCH also urged upon the responsible law enforcement agency that all the culprits be booked and tried with befitting punishment according to the law of the land.
SNUNS: South Nagas Union of Nagaland State (SNUNS) has condemned the attack on Naga family and life attempt on L. Doulo, owner. SNUNS has stated that such acts have no place in a peaceful Naga society.
CRPO Kohima: Chizami Range Public Organization (CRPO) Kohima has vehemently condemned the life attempt on L. Doulo. CRPO Kohima expressed surprise that national workers of NSCN (K), went to the extent of attempting life on such an elderly local businessman in the name of demanding tax for the national cause.
NSCN (I-M) Sumi Region: NSCN (I-M) Sumi Region has strongly condemned the rape and murder of a mother on September 18 by one Samuel. A condemnation note by GPRN Sumi region secretary, Holuvi Shohe on behalf of Sumi region has appealed to the state law enforcing agency to properly examine the case and give maximum period of punishment according to law. It further warned the accused not to repeat the same and also cautioned citizens to avoid such kinds of evil activities in Sumi area. NSCN (I-M) Sumi region has further conveyed condolence to the victim’s family and prayed that Almighty God bless and save the three children.
