Orgns condemn Sep 6 rape

Sumi Aphuyemi Kukami Hoho (SAKH)   and Dimapur District Disabled Persons Parents Association (DDDPPA) and Disabilities (North East)  PARIVAAR-NCPO have strongly condemned the rape of a 60-year-old woman at Mishilimi village on September 6 allegedly by a migrant worker identified as one Mutibur Rahman.
Condemning the act, SAKH president, Kuputo Shohe and general secretary, V. Hetoi Swu, said the union would not remain a “silent spectator” against the heinous crime committed by “illegal immigrants”. It has appealed district administration to take a stern action against the accused and has extended support to 30 days ultimatum served by SKK.
In a condemnation note, DDDPPA general secretary, Joylal Pradhan has demanded capital punishment. Zonal secretary disabilities (North East) PARIVAAR-NCPO, Akum Ezung, has informed that within 7 years, six differently abled women have been raped out of which five rapists were all “illegal immigrants”. It has urged law enforcing agency to award befitting and exemplary punishment to the rapist.
