When I sail through dark stormy seas
Remind me lord
that there is a calm shore awaiting,
and ease the doubt of my heart
by your soothing presence nearby.
Slow down my life when in haste,
Provide new moments to share with a close friend.
Remind me Lord
that each passing day is not returning
so that may I not waste tomorrow.
Remind me when alone or in speed
the art of remembering:
an evening stroll with an old man,
to cease and smile at good things,
and to share a good book,
to respect animals.
Remind me of the Poets,
of nature and the sky,
and of caring my dear ones
that I may well understand
that there is a better life
than wasting in daily haste.
Let me understand and look forward
To the highest of towers
that once had a start from bottom….
O that Lord! Remind me to the last!
