Radiant was the crown of achievements And smooth the tempo of life High up at noon Glittering amongst the stars Dispensing warmth and inspiring hopes Alluring to many Wise oration resonating the vales and knolls of motherland Alloted errands accomplished. Another goal set Another landmark perceived Set to begin ...a new phase A new chapter A new golden page of life And came the roaring tempest Terrifying was the sudden darkness of death wrapping the daylight of life the splash of scarlet blood drenching the street as living cells were brutally severed the rhythm of life halted forever the horrifying bangs of the murderer’s tool broke the serenity of the noon Wails of the orphaned sons and daughter filled the sullen air haplessly forsaken and forlorn were the young ones only a moment ago were exuberant in the abundance of father’s love pleading dad’s promise of safe, early return waving gingerly as their dad sat upon the wheel to begin yet another journey Alas! never to return. The brutish hands of death Dispossessed the mate Dreams shattered Smile wiped Lay in waiting The gift to wife A bouquet of pain A garland of sorrow A river of tears lost and lonesome yet the journey must go on with or without for support to sons to fulfil dad’s dreams for daughter’s security to inspire virtues that wishes of the departed be attained.
