Load shedding till when?
Suroni Achumi.:    22 Jun. 2012 2:04 AM IST

I fail to understand why the government is sitting so aloof. It is almost two months and the power supply problem still remains the same.
The first power cut on May 5 took some 10-15 days to get rectified was informed to all the public that it was due to uprooting of electric post and would be restored soon. But till today, we lack full power supply despite paying all electric bills. How long the government will test our patience?
Everyday, 8 to 10 hours of load shedding is something unbearable especially in summer. Even if current comes, most of the time we face low voltage, power cuts in one or the other phase.
With all these frustrations the best part is the electric department which controls Nepali Kashiram line do not have a phone and every time you face this problem, we have to make sure to go and get the electricians from there department to get power. Everyday we cannot go to department and bring those electricians.
Please dial 236823 and see if this number is even working. So much of negligence is shown by the department. We neither get peaceful sleep nor are we actively working. I appeal the electrical department and the government to intervene in load shedding problem in Dimapur.
