Amur Falcon: A guest in our land
Mika K. Achumi, Discipleship Bible College. :

We Nagas are good in showing hospitality to our guest but in the case of Amur Falcon, it is a misery. Every year, we wait to kill. Are not these birds a guest in our land? I am sure God did not send these beautiful birds of air simply to be killed in Nagaland. Actually we Nagas should change our perspective of looking at nature. When God blessed us with animals and birds (cf. Genesis 1:28-30), God actually talks about our stewardship in His creation but we misunderstood and misinterpreted this passage, we exploit the nature basing on this Bible verse all the time.
Amur Falcon does not belong to us, it is a migratory bird and so it belongs to other nation. Perhaps the other nation is spending huge amount in preserving this birds otherwise the birds will not come in great number. We already finished killing the animals which God entrusted us. One can see from the state museum what we once possessed; the bones and feathers of birds and animals. Therefore, I urge all to be cooperative with wildlife department in preserving the precious nature.
