The counterfeit Beatles, ‘Beatle Mania Now’ a tribute Beatle band from England arrived here in Dimapur on Wednesday. The band was established in 1997 and has a reputation for being one of the finest Beatle tribute bands in Europe.
Talking to mediapersons, the band members said their concert is aimed at taking the audience back to the 60’s when the Beatles first gained popularity.
The band will be performing at least 40 of the hit numbers from the Beatles.
Confessing to be a big fans of the original Beatles, the band said being a Beatle tribute band was fun and admitted they never get tired of it.
Stating that 12 years of being together made them grow immensely as a band, the group also stated they performed at various places such as Japan, South Korea, Germany, Sri Lanka, Bahrain etc. The band also participates in the Beatles festival every year in Liverpool.
The four members Reuren Gershon, Gordon James Elsmore, Peter William Bailey and Martin Lee Savil look and feel like the real Beatles and quips to be “as good” as the original Beatles themselves.
Even all the equipment used by the band is the exact replica of the original Fab 4’s gear, down to the finest detail.
The event is scheduled on July 2 at Niathu Resort and tickets are priced at Rs. 1500. Gates would open from 3pm onwards and there would be a DJ after party and a screening of the ongoing FIFA World Cup quarterfinals.
