Khezhakeno Youth and Students' Organisation (KYSO) organized a 'freshers meet' Saturday at Mt. Sinai School, Kohima with Dr. Nicky Kire, MLA and chairman of Nagaland khadi and village industries board, as chief guest.
Addressing the students, Dr. Nicky congratulated all freshers particularly Aveni Koza for securing sixth position in top ten category in the HSLC examination, and wished them success in their future endeavor.
He pointed out the importance of ambition in life and appreciated the freshers' for having clear vision for their future. He urged the students not to depend on government service only, since the government could not provide service to all graduates or any degree, as the government service was at the saturated point. He further cautioned the freshers that they were at the crucial stage and as such they had to be more careful in their social life.
The organizer felicitated the entire fresher on their success by presenting gifts and urged them to bring more laurels to the organization and the community.
The programme was chaired by Medonguno Ngone (literary secretary, KYSO); invocation prayer by Vietso Pastor, the Associate Pastor; KYSO president given the welcome address; special number by Abino & friends; Aveni Koza, the 6th top position in HSLC, shared her experience under the topic 'the secret of my success', special song 'famine' was presented by Neiteü and brother, Dipe-o Koza, joint secretary of KYSO pronounced the words of appreciation; and closing prayer by Z. David Koza, vice Pastor.
