St. Mary’s Cathedral organizes peace rally

Teachers and students of St. Mary’s Cathedral School Lerie taking part of Peace rally on occassion of Hiroshima day.

St. Mary's Cathedral School Lerie Kohima organized a peace rally to mark the occasion of Hiroshima Day on Wednesday. The peace rally was flagged off by Rev. Sr. Ancy Thomas the Headmistress of the school.
The function was organized in the CRPF junction Lerie. Thechamo IPS, IG of police PHQ graced the occasion as the chief guest. In his address to the students, he stressed on the importance of peace in the world and in our life. He highlighted the value of nuclear energy and to use it for peace and development. He also emphasized on the obedience of children at home and in the school to make the family and the society peaceful. He warned that, if one more time the nuclear bomb is used, there would not be anyone in the world to talk about nuclear bomb or peace. He said, the world should learn the lesson from Hiroshima and stop making and using more and more weapons.
He concluded his speech with the prayer of peace. The rally proceeded to NST garage and concluded in the school ground. Let us hope and visualize the peaceful world without hatred and war, according to a release from Rev. Sr. Ancy Thomas the Headmistress of the school.
