Joint Forum Monitoring Cell of Kohima District GBs Federation & DBs Association has appealed to the NSCN (I-M) for early release of general secretary, NNC (Non- Accordist), V. Nagi and his bodyguard.
The Joint Forum in a letter to NSCN (I-M) chairman said Nagi and his bodyguard were arrested by armed NSCN (I-M) activists on June 23 from Oking Hospital, Kohima.
The letter signed by Joint Forum co-convenor Aba Kuotsu, advisor Zeneivi Chase, secretary Apfhe-o Sote and member Abou, GB, said the NSCN (I-M) chairman’s “sympathetic obligation” to the appeal of the Forum would be “highly regarded.”
In a separate press release the Joint Forum also expressed displeasure over the abduction of Khezheto Chishi, GB of Yesholutomi village, by “unknown persons” at gun point from Shalom Hotel, Kohima on June 29.
The Kohima GBs & DBs Joint Forum convenor Thepfuvilie Solo in a press release said despite numerous requests by different organizations, NGOs and family members, no group or persons had so far claimed responsibility for the abduction. Demanding immediate release of the GB, the Forum also sought “reasons for his capture or the nature of his actions to deserve such treatment.”
