Kaito expounds on ‘oneness’

Newly built funeral chapel donated and constructed by a business family based in Dimapur for new Naga cemetery Dimapur was inaugurated Saturday by G. Kaito Aye minister for roads and bridges. Located at Zani village, three kilometers away from Zion hospital, the chapel hall initially estimated at 14 lakh 23 thousand was constructed at the total cost of eight lakh. In his address, chief guest Kaito Aye called upon Nagas to abide the concept of "oneness", and said major lucrative development had to be made and for that "it is the people to decide the development", it is the urgent need for Nagas to bear the pains and problem prevailing in the present society and unite themselves for better cooperation then only development will take place, he added. Lauding the Naga Council Dimapur for their initiative in constructing the chapel hall, Aye said, for Dimapur to be developed, contribution has to be made from all sections of the people and for successful implementation of projects there has to be coordination between the donors, organisers and construction committees. On road condition in and around Dimapur especially the road leading to the new Naga cemetery, he has assured to "give road" by the end of financial year, though no provision were made. Also exhorting the gathering, Khekaho Awomi, DMC chairman lauding the donor, Binay Kumar Sethi said contribution might have been made by an individual but the blessing would go for generations. The programme was chired by Savi Liegise, president, Naga Council. Building report was read out by N.M Ovung, councilor, and Naga council memorandum to the chief guest was presented by T. Bangerloba Ao, vice president. Presidents and members of tribal hohos, women hoho, tribal councilors of Naga Council and DMC members the others who were present at the inaugural programme.
