Family dispute Security Force claim

A suspect militant killed by security force has been claimed as innocent who had went out from home to obtain application form for appearing in IRB recruitment by the family Sunday. In other militancy related incidents in other places of the state, a bomb was exploded at the residence of an MLA and also fired several rounds of guns at the house of a non-local businessman last night, official reports said. On Friday night, commandos of Thoubal district police in a joint operation with troops of 34 Assam Rifles killed a suspected militant who later today identified as Ajat Khan alias Maiche, 28 year, son of Abdul Majit hailing from Thoubal Moijing. He was killed near the Thoubal bazar and Haoka village. With claimed of recovery of a demand letter of the PULF signed by one Maustag Ali along with a one .28 hand grenade and eight empty cases, SP Thoubal police had yesterday claimed him to be suspect PULF cadre. In the meanwhile while identifying the slain man as Ajat Khan, family members said that they have no idea of Ajat maintaining link with militant outfits. He went out from the home on Friday afternoon. Before going out, he also told the family that he was going to obtain application form for participating in the recruitment rally for IRB personnel which applications have been inviting for the willing candidates. On the other hand, house of an MLA from Thoubal district, K Meghachandra of Congress at his native village at Wangkhem was under attacked by exploding a bomb last night at around 8 pm. The bomb exploded inside the complex with a great impact, the report said adding that it caused panic in the family of the MLA as well as in the neighbourhood. In another incident, suspected Kuki militants last night fired upon some rounds of guns at the house of one Arjun Sharam at New Chekon under Porompat police station last night at around 9 pm. No casualty reported in the firing, police report said.
