Pangnyu meets Union ministers

Parliamentary secretary for rural development, Pangnyu Phom called on union minister for rural development, Raghuvansh Prasad and union minister for DoNER and panchayati raj, Mani Shankar Aiyar and discussed several important issues and problems. A press statement from director, rural development blocks, Metsubo Jamir said the agendas discussed included revision of state matching share from 75:25 center: state to that of 90:10; the applicability of a general programme guideline to states that so not fall under the panchayati raj act; cental assistance towards the micro-financing activities by the VDBs and coverage of Phek and Peren districts under the BRGF scheme and full allocation of the guideline prescribed amount of 10, 00 crores for all BRGF districts. The press release said that the union ministers assured to look into the matters at the earliest and that the issue of revision of the matching centre share to the state government on 90:10 basis was reported to be already under process. The parliamentary secretary was accompanied by the commissioner and secretary, director and four project directors of the department.
