Rio attends service in Korea

State chief minister Neiphiu and his team attended the Sunday Service Fellowship at the Yoido Full Gospel Church, Seoul which is reportedly the biggest Church in the World with a membership of more than seven lakh persons. The Church warmly welcomed the Chief Minister and his team and they were introduced to the congregation. The sermon was delivered by Rev Dr. Paul Yonggi Cho after which the Chief Minister had a meeting with Rev Cho. Rev Cho prayed for the Chief Minister and for Nagaland and the Chief Minister invited Rev Cho to visit Nagaland and bring his message of peace and love to the Nagas also. It may be mentioned that Rev Cho is a highly well known religious leader who get called on even by Heads of States. Recently when US President George Bush visited Korea, He met Rev Cho and requested the Reverend to pray for him and for America. The Chief Minister had a meeting-cum-dinner with Cona International to discuss various development projects including creation of a polytechnic, a food processing unit and other industrial facilities under a special economic zone in Nagaland. The dinner was held under Naga Nite theme with the presence of Naga students studying in Korea. He had another meeting with Korea's Global TV, Arirang, which is an organisation under the Government of Korea. The meeting was attended by the President and CEO of Arirang Mr. Chung, Kuk Lok and the Vice Presidents in-charge of Marketing & Management and TV & Radio. The details of the forthcoming Korea-India Music festival to be hosted by Nagaland on December 2 was discussed and firmed up. The Korean Government extended its thanks and appreciation to Nagaland for taking up all necessary measures to make the event a success. Future exchange programmes were also discussed. A guided tour of the Arirang establishment followed the meeting. In Beijing as a member of the Organizing Committee of the 2010 Commonwealth Games to be held in New Delhi, Mr. Rio visited Beijing to witness the Olympic Games with the clearance of the Government of India.
