Youth needs fitness, free environment: Konyak

The minds of youngsters and their profession are disturbed by the prevailing situation in the society, said M.C. Konyak, minister for forest and environment. Addressing the inaugural function of the DDFA Football League as chief guest, here on Tuesday the minister has said that today’s society was smeared and over shadowed by various problems which in turn has created a disturbance in the minds of the youngsters. “Today the growing youth needs fitness, free and conducive environment to compete in the world of competition,” Konyak pointed out. He called for more refreshing progarmmes for the youths. Konyak also urged the youngsters to prepare themselves to face the challenges in all fields and said, “Don’t discouraged by the unhealthy environment; we will get it over one day.” While highlighting DAN government Konyak said that the government has taken the requirements in all the sectors for the welfare of the society. “We are still looking for brighter horizon for the betterment of the youths,” he said. Further, he lauded the DDFA for organizing the league and expressed hope that the association will continue to organize such more programmes for the youths which will shun the anti-youths elements from the society. Later on he donated Rs.50,000 towards the association.
