Diphupar overpower Chumukedima 4-1 at DDFA League

Diphupar XI overpowered Chumukedima Town Council 4-1 in the opening match of the Dimapur District Football Association (DDFA) Football League played at DDSC Stadium, here, Tuesday. Lipoksashi opened the scoring for Diphupar in the 9th minutes when his powerful right shooter found the mark leaving the rival keeper stunned. After three minutes from the first goal Young with his solo run effort beating the defenders added the second goal for his team. Kivi scored the third and fourth goals in the 29th and 59th minutes respectively. A wonderful displayed by Diphupar boys took the score board 3-0 in the first half. Coming after the lemon break Chumukedima boys continued to attack but could not sneak through the strong fold of Diphupar defense. However, their effort was finally paid off when Temjen penalty kick was brilliantly saved by the rival keeper, Gideon in the 48th minutes. The hero of the day was Gideon the keeper of Diphupar XI who had a wonerful day with his gloves. The lone goal for Chumukedima was scored by Vitouto in the dying minutes of the match. The match officials were: Mukubon as main referee and Mabe Lotha, Mohan and Vikato Assumi as assistant referees.
