After an overwhelming success of previous two Idol shows, Naga Idol, a popular “reality show” which provides a platform for young budding singers, is back in its third season, ready to tap the best singing talent from across the state.
This year as well, the hunt for Naga Idol 3.08 has begun. The first audition kick-started here Tuesday at Hotel Saramati with a total of 22 aspiring “idols” belting out their own genre of songs, head to head with three judges for Dimapur chapter, which included Nise, Moanungsang and Zubeno.
Out of the 22 participants, 16 singers have been shortlisted to enter the combat zone.
The subsequent auditions would take place at Kohima on September 17, 9 a.m. at Hotel Japfü Ashok and Mokokchung on September 19.
Winner of Naga Idol 3.08, apart from “becoming a part of history”, will walk home with a car and a cash prize of rupees one lakh.
Tuesday’s audition at Dimapur was managed by Crescendo in association with MDACC.
