NSCN (K) activist killed

One NSCN (K) activist was killed in a factional clash between the rival NSCNs at Forest Colony, Namsa, under Mon district, Thursday. Sources said the NSCN (I-M) attacked a temporary camp of the NSCN (K) leading to exchange of fire between the rival activists. The slain NSCN (K) activist was identified as ‘Pvt.’ Omwang of Chingphoi Village. Meanwhile, the Konyak Union (Tizit unit) and Tizit Area Students’ Union (TASU) have condemned Thursday’s factional clash at Tizit town, where one NSCN (K) activist was killed. KU Tizit unit president Penkham Konyak and TASU president Mansen Wangyen in a joint press release, on behalf of entire public of Tizit area, appealed to both factions not to repeat such clashes in Tizit jurisdiction in future.
