Govt Middle School Sarbura parents’ day

Government Middle School (GMS) Sarbura organized a "Parents Day Celebration" at its school premise at Nepali Kashiram, Dimapur with Hetoli Sumi D.I.S as the chief guest, on Monday. Speaking on the occasion, Hetoli said "I have come across many schools but this GMS Sarbura happened to be doing very well compared to other schools and wished that all the other schools in Dimapur could follow suit" and in her address, she also asserted "why send your children to a private school when the Govt. school could impart the necessary education to your children like any other private school with its qualified teaching staff." She also reminded the parents as well as the teachers of their responsibilities in molding the future of the students and also drove to the point that the children are entrusted to them as they grew up to lead the society and that's the duty of the parents and the teachers, she further added. Hetoli lamented that there are some parents who not aware whether their children attend their school, classes or doing their home works and their negligence will spoil the career of their children and later on, the blame is leveled upon the teachers. Earlier the programme was chaired by Watimenla, K.Jeliangga head teacher (GMS) Sarbura a national award winner delivered the welcome speech and Sashila teacher in-charge gave the vote of thanks. Some of the highlights of the programme which the school student presented were cultural parade, presentation of special numbers, Ao folk song, jokes, Nepali dance and bamboo dance.
