NBCC Youth conference concludes

Reaffirming their faith and launching out deep to live for the Lord, a confluence of 700 youths from 20 associations under the Nagaland Baptist Churches Council (NBCC) marked the 24th Annual Session cum Triennial Conference of the Youth Department, NBCC, at Khedi Baptist Church, Kohima. Hosted by the Angami Baptist Churches Council, the three day conference featured gospel services, talent exhibition, workshop, business session, 'True Love Waits' testimonial service. Rev. Zhabu Terhüja, general secretary, NBCC; Banuo Z. Jamir, principal secretary and commissioner, School Education; Phutoli Chingmak, Social Sector, NACO; Rev. C. Lima Sangtam, finance secretary NBCC; Sehu Belho, lecturer, Shalom Bible Seminary; Mongzeung Mpom, pastor, Jalukie Town Baptist Church; and Colo Mero, director Life Ministries, spoke during the conference. Phutoli Chingmak, Social Sector Specialist, National AIDS Control organization (NACO), who spoke in the Sunday service, said that the Naga society needed to work out quickly from losing its youth. Dwelling on spiritual and sensual purity, Phutoli said Nagas should reflect on their purity, stating "the more a person becomes pure, the more the face of Christ becomes clearer." During the service, a team from Church of Christ, Thailand, led by Vice Moderator, Banthony Champoowang, performed; while youth members of Khedi Baptist Church and Sümi Baptist Akukuhou Kuqhakulu presented songs.
