With the objective towards achieving “reconciliation, unity and peace”, the Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) has begun its journey to meet all Naga factional groups where they will first meet NSCN (K) leadership at Mon town on Sunday evening. Addressing the media at Circuit House Dimapur today, NSF president Imchatoba said the federation along with its federating units was taking up the mission in view of the prevailing situation for the cause of Naga society and to express the desire of the younger generation. “We have to reach out to every political group and appeal to them to immediately cease killing among ourselves” he said and added that it would appeal the factions to come together for a healthy conversation. The NSF appealed to the public to render their support in their mission. Uniformed in white coloured T-shirts, the 42 member team left for Mon Saturday afternoon. As a symbolic gesture of the mission the NSF said it would provide stickers to be pasted on vehicles and requested all peace loving Naga citizens to avail it. The sticker reads “A journey of common hope”. Besides these, the Federation also has pamphlets reading, “Reconciliation has no tribalism”, “Reconciliation our hope our future” etc.
