NCSC officials meet held

An interaction programme to chalk out the National Children Science Congress (NCSC), a programme for the children between the age group of 10-17 was held at the Circuit House, on Sunday. According to the co-ordinator, in-charge of NCSC Nagaland the scheme started in 1997 however, due to the lack of infrastructure the programme could not take off like the rest of the states. He further said this will be the 16th NCSC programme and would be one of its kind in the world, which will create history. The NCSC will commence from December 27 to 31. This year Nagaland had been chosen to host the 5 days event, under the theme, "Planet Earth, our home explore care and share". About 1200 participants will take part in the ensuing programme, comprising of 700 child scientists besides guide teachers and escort teachers from different districts. 60 evaluators will be evaluating the project reports of the young Scientists. The events will give participants an opportunity to show case their creativities to the rest of the world and also to interact with the 40 ASEAN child Scientists representing their countries during the 5 days extravagant. Some of the prominent figures who participated in today's interaction were Dr. D.K Pandey, Dr. A. K.Goswami, Dr. R.N.Ray, Jaideed Baruah, Raghuvanshi, Dr.Inakhe Sumi, district administrators, DMC councilors, business community, ANPSA and Naga Hoho.
