Kingdom Stewards in NSF Martyrs’ semi finals

Riding on an immaculate hat trick from Kikrusato, Kingdom Stewards, registered a facile 3-1 win over Merhulietsa Football Club in the fourth quarter final match on Tuesday at the ongoing 9th NSF Martyrs Memorial trophy organized by the Angami Students Union (ASU). Becoming the 8th player to notch up a hat-trick in the tournament Kikrusato found the net in the 22nd minute(1st goal), 62nd minute (2nd goal) and 70th minute(3rd goal) to put up debutants Kingdom Stewards in the last four stages. The only consolation for the Merhuliesta Football Club came in the 90th minute through Patrick. Three yellow cards were awarded in the match – Hadibe (Kingdom Stewards) and Yanger and Kevin (both Merhulietsa FC) Health and Family welfare department principal director Dr. V. Sekhose was the match patron. He donated Rs. 50,000 to the organizers. The man of the match was adjudged to Keyigumgambe (Kingdom Stewards). Meanwhile, Angami Students Union (ASU) defeated Kohima District Football Referee Association (KDRFA) 3-1 in an exhibition match. ASU scored through Medo Yhokha former president ASU, Sedevikho Tsukru, secretary publicity and information ASU and Vilabeituo Seletsu, former games and sports secretary ASU, while the lone goal for KDRFA was netted in by Kevichiito. In another exhibition match, Dimapur Naga Students Union (DNSU) beat All Nagaland College Students Union (ANCSU) 2-1, in tie-breaker.
