Flush-out ops in Kohima

Kohima district administration, police and IRB personnel Wednesday conducted joint house-to-house search operations in various colonies of Kohima to flush out underground activists. The operations were carried out in Midland area from 9 a.m to 12 noon and in Lower PWD and Lower Chandmari in the afternoon, official sources informed. Police said the operation started with the combined forces cordoning off the colonies and then conducting house-to-house search. However, no arrest was made or arms recovered. Meanwhile, Midland Youth Organization (MYO) president Atou Liezietsu in a press release said MYO would not allow any individual or group indulging in anti-social activities to reside in the colony. MYO also said it would not allow any person to harbour anti-social elements in the colony
