PMA releases Sumi Christmas album

Musician and director of Pheto Music Association (PMA) Kashito Kiba released his Christmas album in Sumi dialect “Yeghiqha Lau Alovilo” (Joy to the world) Tuesday afternoon here at PMA head office, Notun Basti. The day also saw simultaneous launching of sound system of PMA, both of which were dedicated by executive secretary, WSBAK, Rev. Vitoshe Swu. Rev. Swu in his brief address congratulated Kashito on the release of the album as well as launching of sound system and said both were fulfillment of a dream and vision. He also reminded that Nagas must put into good use one great gift of God to Nagas – musical talent. Kashito said he was inspired to make a Christmas album as though there were many local musicians, few had produced such albums in their own dialect. He thanked all those behind the making of the album. The function was chaired by Asang Imchen. It may be mentioned PMA founded in 2002 with its motto “Discovering talents to a higher level” organized the first “Kids for Fame” contest in 2007, in association with Music Channel Nagaland. PMA has also a digital recording studio providing services like sound recording of visual and video, post production of audio cassettes, CD, VCD, DVD, photography, video editing and cover designs.
