CM inaugurates Englan EAC Hq.

State chief minister, Neiphiu Rio Monday inaugurated EAC headquarter Englan amidst great grandeur. Addressing the people on the occasion state chief minister said DAN government has the policy of providing development to all sections of the people in the state. Rio urged the people of Englan range to work hard and cooperate with the government for bringing more development in the area. According to an official bulletin, chief minister also expressed his happiness that for the first time all four MLAs from Wokha district joined the same party. He further assured the public that government has been examining the elephant menace in the district through the wildlife department. He encouraged the people to grow more crops, fruits and various vegetables as their land was very fertile. Rio further urged the people of Englan range to support the government so as to bring more development works in their range. He also advised the people to elect the right persons as their representatives so that development could come to their range. Parliamentary secretary, geology and mining and irrigation and flood control, Y. Patton, addressing the occasion urged the people to be grateful to DAN government. Patton also challenged the people to contribute their best towards development rather than asking from others. He expressed his happiness over establishment of Englan EAC Hq. “through the sympathetic effort of the chief minister.” Others who spoke on the occasion included state home minister, Imkong Imchen, minister for agriculture, Dr. Chumben, state commissioner, H.K. Khulu and chairman, Kyong Hoho, Nyanbemo Ngullie. Highlights of the programme included special song by Naga Idol finalist Emilo Patton and folk songs by cultural troupes. Besides, parliamentary secretary, art and culture and tourism, Yitachu; former MLA, Atovi, former minister, Yeanpon, chairman, WTC and commissioner taxes and excise, M. Patton attended the function.
