Youth conference held at Phek

The 6th Chakhesang youth conference was held at town hall Phek on the theme 'cherishing youth in nature' with minister for urban development and higher education Shurhozelie Liezietsu as chief guest. Addressing the huge gathering of youth from all Chakhesang villages he said "we are a people of well defined culture and we should know our roots and origin" He called upon Chakhesang youth to carryout our tradition towards a greater future and said "lets all work together for peace and unity inculcating a strong social fabric of trust and worthiness without prejudice with the essence of love and honesty - true to our God given nature for a well developed Nagaland as envisaged for our people". He also highlighted the governments' policy of city development plan and briefed the people on how government was working towards building well plan cities and towns for installing better community development plan. The cultural exposition was followed by youth day feast. Minister for health and family welfare Kuzholuzo Nienu who also spoke on the occasion expressed his thankfulness to chief guest Shürhozelie for his love and concern for people of Chakhesang and to chief minister Neiphiu Rio and his cabinet colleagues for their concern shown towards upliftment of people of Phek district. The function was chaired by CYF Advisor Thepuphi Kapuh, CPO President Yesone Veyie and also President of CSU. Opening prayer was pronounced by Kevengoyi Sakha Pastor Lozaphühü Baptist Church. Indigenous songs were presented by Mütsale village youth society and Mesulumi village youth. The two day youth conference culminated on November 12.
