Skylark through to semi finals Correspondent Kohima, Oct 30 (NPN): Skylark Thursday entered the semifinals after defeating Missionshire XI by three wickets at the ongoing Mission T20 played at Kohima. Batting first, Missionshire was bowled out for 89 runs. In reply, Skylark reached the target in 19.5 overs for the loss of seven wickets. Visanyu Yhome, for his16 runs and 3 wickets haul was declared the man of the match. On Friday at 10 am, in the first semi-finals, Tribal will on Skylark and Saturday at 10 am Seemse XI will clash with Quasars in the second final match. NCA players in 2nd NE chess C’ship Kohima, Oct 30 (NPN): Nagaland Chess Association (NCA) is sending five players headed by NCA president Helie Rupreo representing Nagaland to participate in the 2nd North East chess championship which is currently under day at Guwahati . The participants are Helie Rupreo , K. Sekhamo, Vithanyu Yano, Mjughato Awomi and Sukhavi Achumi, informed Otova Swu, general secretary, NCA Meanwhile, the NCA has congratulated Vishwanathan Anand for retaining the World Chess Championship title. RSA sports meet Dimapur, Oct 30 (NPN): The 41st Rengma Area Tournament which was started on October 21 is underway at Tseminyu. The tournament is organized by Rengma Sports Association (RSA) and will conclude on November 4. According to RSA, general secretary, the inaugural function was graced by ADC Tseminyu, Wezope Kenye as chief guest. He also donated Rs.20, 000 towards the association. Altogether 21 teams of football (men) and 6 teams of volleyball (women) are taking part in the tournament.
