8th Open Basketball Championship: Faithballers, E Railways in semis

Faithballers, Assam will clash with Eastern Railways, West Bengal in the semi-final at 8. 30 am on Saturday, which would be followed by second semi-final between Werewolves Senior and Air Hoggs in the ongoing 8th open basketball championship, 2008 organized by Nagaland Basketball Association and Suncity, Kohima played at local ground, Kohima. The final will be played on Saturday at 2.00pm, with Neise Mech, Director Land Resources Development, as the guest of honour, while Naga Idol 2. 07 Rokovotuo Pfiisenuo will present a special number. On Saturday at 12.00 noon there will be a three-points shooting competition and the entry fee is fix at Rs.100 and a free bun eating competition. On Friday, in the quarter-final matches, Faithballers defeated Hill Knights 73-31, man of the match – Vinod (Faithballers), Eastern Railways overcame Team Gravity 66-31, man of the match- Imnatuba(Team Gravity) , Werewolves Senior over came Werewolves Junior 92 – 58 , man of the match – Pievokhrielie Rutsa ( Werewolves Junior) and Airhoggs defeated Chandmari Higher Secondary School 43-21, man of the match -Avinash (CHSS). In another league match St. Joseph College edged out Underdoggs 29-25.
