Kaito concerned over unemployed youth

Minister for roads and bridges, Kaito Aye said Nagas contractors and entrepreneurs should be encouraged to start commercial industries to help unemployed youth of the state and to sustain oneself. Asserting that such industry would open avenues for employment of youth Aye said “we should strive in our own ways, and not just depend on the government for employment”. The minister was speaking at the inauguration of new family shopping store ‘West Road Mall’ in Kohima Saturday afternoon at Jail Colony, Kohima. Expressing concern over the prevailing issue in the state Aye said “there has to be complete peace in the land to start commercial industries” and other trades. He said that fear psychosis should be done away with and people should support one another. The shopping complex has, under its shade a number of fashion showrooms, computer accessories shop, massage centre, family restaurant, ATM booth, etc. Mr and Mrs Ruokuo Solo, proprietor of West Road Mall dedicated the mall in memory of their father, Lt. Lhoukro-u Solo. Besides other dignitaries, the inaugural programme was attended by minister for urban development and higher education Dr. Shürhozelie Liezietsu, Nagaland khadi and village industries board chairman, Dr. Nicky Kire. Prayer of thanksgiving and dedication was pronounced by Fr. George, while songs were presented by Asin Shürhozelie and the cultural promotion society.
