NPF Mkg divisional meet held

NPF Mokokchung division in its divisional general convention held Thursday at divisional office has resolved to support "wholeheartedly" the resolutions adopted in NPF party general convention held at Kohima on November 18. The convention has also resolved to appeal government to place the office of newly created chief engineer (highway) at Mokokchung. It has resolved to urge state government to create a post of commissioner "North" and request to station its office at Mokokchung for the benefit and welfare of the northern people of the state. Meanwhile, divisional convention has expressed gratitude for re-electing Dr. Shurhozeilie as party president and has assured to extend its support to his leadership and comply with his directives. Convention has also extended its appreciation for electing Apong Pongener as working president, Padmashree Chubalemla as president women wing and Lanukaba as president farmer's wing, and added that it has given so much encouragement to the party rank and file in the division. Besides discussing various issues, the meeting elected a new set of office bearers for the next tenure led by former MLA, Aolepden as president and Mangyangnungba as general secretary. The convention was attended by state home minister, Imkong L. Imchen; working president NPF, Apong Pongener; NPF women wing president, Padmashree Chubalemla besides host of senior party officials and party workers.
